The motorsport department of Audi is one of the most successful brands in motorsports with numerous victories in the FIA Rally World Cup and the German Touring Car Championship.
Especially from 1981 to 1984 the legendary Audi Quattro came up with four-wheel-drive and a turbo engine.
Also from 1988-1998 Audi wasn´t indispensable in the touring car series. In 1991 racing legend Hans-Joachim Stuck won the DTM with the Audi V8 quattro.
The absolute success story writes the motorsport department of Audi in the endurance races in Le Mans and the American offshoot of the American Le Mans Series.
At the 24-hour race at Le Mans the Audi R V10 TDI won the race in 2006. It was the first time a diesel vehicle won.

In April 2007, the sale of the Audi R8 started in Germany. First, as a coupe in the 4.2-liter V8 FSI version with a proud 420 HP – top speed at 300 km / h. This is an experience that every car lover must have made at least once in their life.

In April 2010, the portfolio has been extended to the R8 Spyder, which can also be ordered with a 5.2 liter ten-cylinder. With a maximum torque of 535 Nm at 6500min-1 the V10 makes 525 hp.
Due to the 20 kg high-speed fabric roof the Spyder omitted the R8 typical sideblades from carbon fiber composite.
The selling price of the Roadster is € 156,400, which is € 14,000 above the respective coupes. Audi R8 Spyder can be rent unproblematic at Motion Drive.
In 2012 the R8 gets the major facelift. Technical improvements include the twin-clutch gearbox S-tronic, which brings significantly shorter switching times. Further improvements are the revised standard LED headlights, optically modified taillights, modified single-frame grille and tailpipes.
